Heterogene Tumore enthalten wenige Krebszellen (5-15%) und eine Vielzahl anderer Zellen, z.B. Immunzellen und Fibroblasten. Sie sind schwer zu behandeln, da die aktuellen Diagnosemethoden all diese Zelltypen in einen „Mixer“ geben und dann versuchen, Biomarker in dem entstandenen „Smoothie“ zu messen. 2NA FISH zielt darauf ab, Therapieentscheidungen bei Krebs zu revolutionieren, indem wir die erste Technologie zur räumlichen RNA-Messung („Spatial Transcriptomics“) für die klinische Krebsdiagnostik entwickelt. Durch die Einzelzellmessung von bis zu 50 RNAs im räumlichen Kontext können wir präzisere und vorhersagbarere Diagnosen für Therapieentscheidungen bei Krebs erstellen.
